2022 Sync Free Audiobooks for Teens | Teens Summer Reading

The SYNC audiobooks for teens for summer 2022 are now up.  Each week two audiobooks are offered for free that teens (and I suggest parents too) can download using Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive.com.

For those families not familiar with the OverDrive (or Sora), OverDrive is used by a number of libraries for ebook and audiobook downloads.  I use OverDrive and its companion app Libby on a daily basis to read ebooks that I have checked out from libraries all over the state. (But that is another post.) Sora is Overdrive’s audiobook platform for students.

The downloads are available as MP3’s and can be downloaded directly to mobile devices (MP3 players, phones, tablets, etc)  or computers.  Each week beginning April 29th, 2 audiobooks become available.  The audiobooks must be downloaded within that week.  The titles change at 12 am Pacific each Thursday.

Sign up for email or text alerts at www.audiobooksync.com so that you don’t miss a week.  And while it is great to own the audiobooks, if you miss a week, you can still grab the audiobook from your local library.

These books are recommended for teens ages 13 and up. And of course their parents.

How To get SYNC Teen Free Audiobooks:

1. Download and install the Sora, available on Apple Apps and Google Play stores.
2. Sign in to your Sora account.
3. This week’s audiobooks should show up immediately.  If not, click on the search icon.
4. “Check Out” the audiobook.  Don’t worry, the check out period is for 365,000 days.
5.  The audiobook should start to download to your device.
