The SYNC audiobooks for teens for summer 2017 are now up. SYNC is sponsored by AudioFile Magazine. Each week two audiobooks are offered for free that teens (and I suggest parents too) can download using OverDrive.com. For those families not familiar with the OverDrive website, OverDrive is used by a number of libraries for ebook and audiobook downloads. I use OverDrive and its companion app Libby on a daily basis to read ebooks that I have checked out from libraries all over the state. (But that is another post.)
The downloads are available as MP3’s and can be downloaded directly to mobile devices (MP3 players, phones, tablets, etc) or computers. Each Friday beginning April 27th, 2 audiobooks become available. The audiobooks must be downloaded within that week.
Sign up for email or text alerts at www.audiobooksync.com so that you don’t miss a week. And while it is great to own the audiobooks, if you miss a week, you can still grab the audiobook from your local library.
These books are recommended for teens ages 13 and up. And of course their parents.
